Do I need to be able to swim in order to take part in Snorkeling?

Yes, you do. Even though the dry suits are very buoyant and keep you afloat, we have made it a prerequisite for our snorkelers to be able to swim and feel comfortable in water. This is for your own safety and comfort, as well as the guides' and the rest of the snorkeling group's safety and comfort.

I use glasses, is that a problem?

You cannot wear glasses underneath the dive mask! If you have bad eyesight you need to bring your own prescription dive either mask or lens inserts with your own matching dive mask. There are opticians in Labuan Bajo that you would be able to purchase contact lenses with. However, that needs to be at least a day in forehand.

Do you offer photos of this Snorkeling Tour?

If you would like to get high resolution under water photos of your Snorkeling Tour, please let your guides know when you meet them. You can then purchase the photos from your guide after the tour. These pictures are a great souvenir of this extraordinary adventure. Please be aware that we cannot always guarantee the photo service. Unfortunately, cameras can malfunction and sometimes the guide has other priorities than taking photos.

What dive/snorkel equipment do you use?

Please read details about our dive equipment on our equipment website.

Are the dry suits very tight / uncomfortable?

We use top quality equipment for our Snorkeling and Scuba Diving tours. The dry suits only do a certain amount of dives / time before they are sold and replaced by new ones. This ensures that our guests will always dive/snorkel in top-notch dry suits frequently tested, serviced, or replaced. However, it is of high importance to provide us with your correct size, so we can make sure to bring the best fit for you. If we receive an incorrect size, the guest will receive and incorrect dry suit fit. We assure you that your size information as well as all other personal information stays confidential with us. We also want to point out that if you are sensitive to having something tight around your neck and/or wrists you might feel uncomfortable in a dry suit. It goes with the territory to have a well sealing neoprene neck seal and rubber wrist seals in order to stay dry.

Is food included on this tour?

We offer light snacks such as cookies and hot chocolate to warm up after getting out of the water, but this tour does not otherwise include food. However, we do stop at a service station in Labuan Bajo where you are able to purchase something more substantial.

Will I get wet when diving or snorkeling?

When diving or snorkeling in a dry suit, you will generally keep dry and warm. We use BARE dry suits and undergarments of the highest quality and have over 50 of them in all standard and non-standard sizes. Our rental dry suits do only a certain amount of dives before they are sold and replaced with new suits. They are inspected after every tour to assure a minimum of possible failure. However, dry suits are often custom-made to fit each individual. This is especially the case with regard to the wrist and neck seals sizes. Even though we do our very best to prevent it, in rare occasions it does happen that someone gets wet.

Do you pick me up at my hotel or do I need to come to a pick up point?

Yes, we will pick you up at your hotel in Labuan Bajo. Transportation is included in the price of the Diving Komodo Day Tour. If you stay outside Labuan Bajo, you need to arrange your own transport into Labuan Bajo, preferably the public Angkot or Ojek, where we can fetch you. You can also meet us in Labuan Bajo harbor if you have your own transport.

What clothes do I need to bring on a multiple day tour?

Appropriate clothes. In Indonesia, you need to be ready for the whole range of weather, certainly bring warm clothes and something for when it rains. Don´t forget your hiking shoes and long underwear plus thick wool socks.
